<reviewbody>In this interview, John Cage avoids the traps usually set for an artist of his type. But he avoids the criticism not by "fighting" or coming back with wittier repartee, but by simply stating his thoughts, and implying that the whole idea of "comparison" can be meaningless. I would personally rather sit through an hour of Cage's most "controversial" work than five minutes of Schoenberg's frenzied mezzo-sopranos on crack. Cage doesn't break a sweat here, and answers some tough questions with grace and intelligence.</reviewbody>
