The first half does this extremely well and is very effective and funny in doing it - it is very much easy to 'get'. My only criticism is the the last third where the whole film slows down and we are somehow 'told' what to think, what it was all about, how we should interpret what we've seen. I wanted to walk away feeling slightly shaken and roughed up and instead I get a 'moral of this story' explained to me from adult to child.
