<reviewbody>Great music, with the 48 star flag.
But the actual use? prelude to various movies?</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Not sure about the 1940s era - I remember these from "This concludes our broadcast day" on the networks before they had programming around the clock.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Nice instrumental and wording here.. but I was always wondering how big that flag they used was.. Obviously it's a prop flag as it seems to be going through gail force winds...</reviewbody>

<review><reviewbody>What was it used for?

Many theaters played the national anthem during WWII, and theaters on military bases still play it before every film today. The various services have always distributed such films free - they were used daily back when TV stations signed on and off, and found use when theaters hosted public meetings at which the national anthem might be appropriate as an opener.</reviewbody>
